For 13, the answer is that the plates are diverging and forming a rift in the valley. When something diverges, it moves away. As can be seen in the pictures, as the plates move away, a valley will form between them since they are not converging and pushing up a mountain. For 14, the answer is the distance from the epicenter to at least three other locations. That is because that is information you would find after knowing where the epicenter was, not before. For 15, magma that is low in silica. A build up of silica causes a more explosive eruption. For 16, subduction causes one plate to slide beneath another plate, thus it will create a trench.
