OpenStudy (fakereality):

Direct answer or explanation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

either one

OpenStudy (fakereality):

Hm, I'll get someone to help, this looks really difficult, tbh. XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lmao thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the first equation i believe the answer might be A

OpenStudy (fakereality):

Probably. :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the second one i think it might be B

OpenStudy (mrnood):

This is not difficult - it is a question of turning th ewords into equations if the cost of a banana in represented by x and the cost of a banana is represented by y how would you write "the cost of 5 bananas plus the cost of 3 pears = $3.80

OpenStudy (fakereality):

Yeah, I'm just really tired, irl.

OpenStudy (mrnood):

tehn when you have done that you can easily do tthis: "the cost of 2 bananas plus the cost of 4 pears = $3.20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are my answers for the questions correct?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

I am not saying - just write the equations as I explained above. If you want the answer then wait...

Directrix (directrix):

Write equations that you can solve simultaneously: 5b + 3p = 3.80 2b +4p=3.20 ---------------- -------- Let x be the larger number Let y be the smaller number x + y = 148 x = 3y - 2 ----------- Solve these simultaneously. Suggestion: Substitute the expression for x into the first equation. @kittymeow101
