If set D is a subset of set E, then which of the following is true? D ∩ E = D D ∩ E = E D ∩ E = Ø

zepdrix (zepdrix):

|dw:1447443439844:dw|D is a subset of E, so what do they have in common?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

What elements do both sets contain?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o its the middle one?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Both of them contain the set E? No. Look at the diagram I drew, clearly D does not have E inside of it.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

D is a subset of E, so D is contained within E. E has D inside of it. And D has D inside of itself, nothing special there. So we can see that they both contain all of D, yes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its the first one?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

yes..

thank you:)
