I need help! (Fill in the blank vocabulary) (I don't know about this one.)
Patronize ?
It's harder when I can't copy and paste to look up what each word means xD
I'll copy paste the list for you! xD
congenital orthopedics vestment automaton amity autonomy autopsy pedagogue inimical virile coveted genealogical mellifluous pathos philanthropy colluded imbibed patronize concocted avuncular
I don't think it would be patronize it doesn't sound right
@HannahRocks4Eva I don't know what else then ;-;
Let me take a quick look at the rest of words- What grade are you in?
8th grade.
I'm also in 8th grade meaning I might have done this unit/lesson already. What unit and lesson is this?
This is Semester Assessment Vocabulary.
Oh wait
Unit 5 Lesson 2
Your a unit above me XD
DDD: Whuuuut?!!
Let me look at the words again..
So far I'm thinking amity or philanthropy
Amity meaning a friendly relationship and Philanthropy meaning the desire to promote the welfare of others, expressed especially by the generous donation of money to good causes. Both of them seem right to me hmm..
What do you think seems more right?
Well it wouldn't make sense if you say "It's important to amity" or "It's important to philanthropy".
patronize verb pa·tron·ize \ˈpā-trə-ˌnīz, ˈpa-\ : to give money or support to (someone or something) : to talk to (someone) in a way that shows that you believe you are more intelligent or better than other people : to be a frequent or regular customer or user of (a place)
I must have went to another place because it said Patronize was something else XD
xD So am I right ?
Looking at that meaning it looks like you are right
Awesome! :D Thank you!!
