Abigail wrote the statements shown in the chart below: Statement Description 1 If two lines intersect, then exactly one plane contains both lines. 2 If a point lies outside a line, then exactly one plane contains both the line and the point. Which option best classifies Abigail's statements? Statement 1 and Statement 2 are postulates because they are true facts. Statement 1 and Statement 2 are theorems because they can be proved with the help of appropriate postulates. Statement 1 is a theorem because it can be proved, and Statement 2 is a postulate because it is a true fact.
@DanJS @Hero @SithsAndGiggles @phi
yeah those 2 statements are good, a plane need at least 3 points a line needs at least 2
I know its not a because thats wrong (I am ppostiive)
statement 2 is the hypotenus leg theorem right?
idk the name, but it is tru 3 points that arent all colinear can determine a plane. one point, and one line, can manage those , take any couple points on the line, and the other outsiode,
so whats the asnwer....
IS IT D? srry didnt mean to put caps on
i would say both are theorem, since they can be proven with the postulates/axiums
okay! can you help with another?
although both are kinda easy tpo see,
but a ik isnt rihgt...
