is 3/2 considered a real number ?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Remember, 3/2 can be rewritten as 1.5. Does this help you?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Remember, that the only numbers that are imaginary are these: \(\sqrt{-1}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

real numbers include rational, irrational, and whole numbers. they do not include imaginary numbers or infinity.

OpenStudy (kaliyah0524):

thanks.. So it is a real number?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

definitely

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep. good job!

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

you'll know something is unreal when it comes across as an error on your calculator (i.e. cannot be defined), or if a function doesn't have roots that cross the x-axis. You can find the imaginary roots through the quadratic formula ^^ just some extra info that may help you in the future :)

OpenStudy (kaliyah0524):

Thankyou :)
