Please help me

OpenStudy (freemap):

For the function f(x) = 2 – 3x, find f(–4). A. 12 B. 14 C. –5 D. –10

OpenStudy (freemap):

Do we plug -4 into the f(x) place?

Directrix (directrix):

f(x) = 2 – 3x f(-4) = 2 – 3*(-4) = ?

OpenStudy (freemap):

just a sec I'm working it out

Directrix (directrix):

f(-4) means f of -4, the value of the function when x = -4

OpenStudy (freemap):

-4=2- -12 -4=14 b? 14

Directrix (directrix):

It is 14 but don't write -4 = 14 because that is not true. f(-4) = 2 – 3*(-4) = 2 + 12 = 14

OpenStudy (freemap):

okay, Thank you

Directrix (directrix):

You are welcome.
