The total number of hats h(w) Ms. Sutton knitted is a function of the number of weeks w since she decided to sell them at a craft fair, as shown in the table. The function is a linear function. What does the slope of the function represent? This table is of a function. A. Ms. Sutton knits 2 hats per week. B. Ms. Sutton knits 4 hats per week. C. Ms. Sutton knits a hat every 2 weeks. D. Ms. Sutton knits a hat every 4 weeks
I'm pretty sure the answer is B? well it may be wrong
no look: each 2 weeks 4 knits add. thus for for 1 week she knits 4/2=2 . 2 =>4 thus 2 knits per wekk
The slope is 2 so each time the week goes up by 1, the number of hats goes up by 2. Does any option match that?
A
When you chose B, you were looking at the increase in hats, thinking that was every week. If you look at the table and at the w values, you will see that they increase by 2. So, 4 hats, yes. But, over a two-week period. That would be 4/2 or 2 hats which is the slope.
so its C
No.
D
A. Ms. Sutton knits 2 hats per week. Remember, the slope is 2 or 2/1. As 1 week goes by, 2 hats are made.
I said a i thought you said it wasn't right. Thank you
This is the one that was not right: >> I'm pretty sure the answer is B? well it may be wrong
