1. basic human rights.
Originally, the Federalists didn't feel it necessary to add a Bill of Rights since they believed these rights to be common sense, so they didn't needed to be added. But the anti-federalists believed the Bill of Rights was important, so that there was no doubt of what basic rights the citizens had to help prevent corruption.

2. (a) The ability to "amend the Constitution to fit the needs of a changing nation" (That was a quote I've heard before so you might want to put it in your own words to avoid plagiarism)
    (b) over 200 years

3. If I had to guess, I would say it would be important because all states needed to be in agreement to be truly unified. Hence UNITED States.
