How has the progression of Saudi Arabia on the demographic transition model differed from the progression of England? Saudi Arabia's transition between stages was much slower than England's transition. England transitioned to Stage 3 after Saudi Arabia became a Stage 3 country. Saudi Arabia has reached Stage 3 because fertility rates and population growth are high. Cultural factors affected Saudi Arabia's population growth in Stage 2, while economic factors more strongly influenced England. England went back and forth between Stage 2 and Stage 3 several times.
