A box contains 4 red pencils, 3 blue pencilsand 3 yellow pencils. What is the probability that a student randomly selects a blue pencil, keep it, and then a second student randomly selects a yellow pencil? Please help me, how to do? Thanks

OpenStudy (alekos):

There are 3 blue pencils in the box and there's a total of 10 therefore the P(blue) = 3/10 OK?

OpenStudy (alekos):

For the second pick there are now 9 pencils left in the box and we need to pick a yellow (3 pencils) so what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. 1/10 B. 3/10 C. 6/10 D. 9/10 ?
