FAN AND MEDAL https://i.gyazo.com/0b8d3546cdad2fd642345c0d4204de5e.png I think it is AAS, am I right?

OpenStudy (wwb00):

Let's work together. What do we know from the diagram?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What I know is that it has to either be SAS or AAS, due to the square there making it a right angle. I know AAS triangles usually look like that, so that is where my guess comes from.

OpenStudy (wwb00):

Ok, its been marked that two sides are congruent, and all right angles are congruent. So we know there is a AS. Any ideas of what the final value could be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Final value as in what the triangle might have to add up to 180 or?

OpenStudy (wwb00):

As in do we know that there is one more congruent angle or side?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe so, the two angles are congruent and then there is one side which is the hypnotuse ( sorry if I spelled that wrong ).

OpenStudy (wwb00):

Yes, do you remember vertical angles?

OpenStudy (wwb00):

Are there any that you can see?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One, yes

OpenStudy (wwb00):

All vertical angles are congruent, thus we know that there are two congruent angles and one congruent side.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you !! It is AAS

OpenStudy (wwb00):

Yep, no problem.
