Line JK has an equation of a line y = 4x − 8, and line ML has an equation of a line y = 4x + 4. These two equations represent parallel lines because the slopes of the lines are the same perpendicular lines because the product of the slopes is −1 the same line lines that are neither parallel nor perpendicular
