what is 3x + 9 = 10 for X?

OpenStudy (smilie2015):

x = 1/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@smilie2015 dont give direct answers

OpenStudy (xmissalycatx):

Subtract 9 from both sides and then you'll have 3x = 1. Next you will divide that by 3, leaving x by itself! Now you'll be left with your fraction and x-value! :)
