Harry Potter Fans: ok so I have this assignment to do where I have to write a paragraph about a favorite story of mine BUT write an alternative ending to the story. so my question is what would have happened if harry potter was really killed by voldemort? would voldemort take over Hogwarts? or who would of killed voldemort?

Harry Potter is filled with deus ex machina, so without it, I don't think Voldemort would've been able to be defeated. Dumbledore would've died because of the ring, so he wouldn't have been able to hunt the rest of the horcruxes. Harry only lived and defeated Voldemort because of lucky events, so if Harry died, Voldemort would've taken over the world—literally.
