OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

What do i need to know about linear models?

OpenStudy (tumblewolf):

Linear models can be used to graph the flow of data for a set time range. They can also be used to predict data but only over short periods of time. If your data ends in 2015 you won't be able to get an accurate reading for 230 but you may for 2025. It depends on what data you have.

OpenStudy (michaelac959):

Linear models describe a continuous response variable as a function of one or more predictor variables. They can help you understand and predict the behavior of complex systems or analyze experimental, financial, and biological data. oh ok how do u do linear models? i'm learning this lesson but i don't understand it

OpenStudy (tumblewolf):

You can do them on excel, a graphing calculator, powerpoint, Word, or there's an equation. They're also simple to write out. |dw:1447780513014:dw| so say you have that model. You use your X values on the x axis and the y on the y
