11. for Triangle ABC and Triangle CDE i) BC = CE (S) Given ii) Angle ACB = Angle DCE (A) Vertically Opposite angle ii) AC = CD (S) Given Therefore Triangle ABC and Triangle CDE are congruent from SAS and thus BA=ED 12. two triangles are congruent only when i) SSS ii) ASA iii) SAS iv) AAS so you equate corresponding Angles and sides for two given triangles. 15. i) Second to Third = Second to First (Side: Given) ii) Angle formed by First, Second and Home plate = Angle formed by Third, Second and Home plate (Angle: Given) iii) Second to home = second to home (Side= same side) So the triangle formed by First, second and home is congruent to triangle formed by Third, second and Home from SAS congruent theorem. Thus Distance from First base to Home is equal to distance from Third base to home because corresponding angles of congruent triangles.
