HELP PLEASE? I'm very confused. prove that (x+y)^2+(x^2+2xy+y^2) = x^4+2xy^3+y^4 How do I do this?

@imqwerty

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

you sure that's right ?! you posted \((x+y)^2+(x^2+2xy+y^2)\) which is \((x+y)^2 + (x+y)^2 \) no \(x^{4}\) there

OpenStudy (mckennarian):

It was a question on my homework assignment, which is exactly why I posted it, because I wasn't sure it made sense.

Directrix (directrix):

As written these are not the same expression: (x+y)^2+(x^2+2xy+y^2) = x^4+2xy^3+y^4 Consider posting a screenshot of the problem. Something was lost between copy and paste. @MckennaRian
