The Carolina Castaways and Raleigh Rockets scored a total of 96 points. The Rockets scored one third as many points as the Castaways. How many points did the Castaways score? How many points did the Rockets score?

You can solve this by a system of equations x = Rockets points y = Castaways points x+y = 96 3x = y You should be able to solve from there
