okay for number 1 you just plug in q into the equation. 

So you would do 

$$8(2) + 6$$

and then you do 8 times 2 which is 16 then add 6 so you should get 22.

Now for number 2 you would plug in -3 for g...

So you would do: 

$$9 + 4(-3) $$

So you do 4 times -3 which is -12 and then add 9 which is -3.

$$7(4) - 7 $$

You do 7 times 4 which is 28 then subtract 7 which is 21.
