Reduction of order question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am working on this problem but I got stuck in this part, I have not seen one where you only have on term equal to zero and I do not know how to proceed.

OpenStudy (freckles):

\[v''t=0 \\ \text{ since } t \neq 0 \text{ then } v''=0\]

OpenStudy (freckles):

derivative of what is 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a constant

OpenStudy (freckles):

right so v''=0 then v'=c

OpenStudy (freckles):

and then you integrate one more time to find v

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, thanks.

OpenStudy (freckles):

do you need anymore help?

OpenStudy (freckles):

or if not I can check your work after the whole v'=c part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think I got it, im working on a different problem now, but thank you for clearing that up

OpenStudy (freckles):

np

OpenStudy (freckles):

don't forget to apply the conditions once you obtain v and then from v ,x2 you know the conditions x2(1)=1 and Dx2(1)=2

OpenStudy (freckles):

peace
