a student found the slope of a line that passes through the points -8, -6 and 2, -3 to be 3/10 what mistake did she make? A. She calculated the run over rise B. She forgot the negative sign C. She used the negative reciprocal of the slope D. She did not make a mistake. That is the correct slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you calculate the slope?

OpenStudy (lilkg77):

Yea it's 3/10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then go with D

OpenStudy (lilkg77):

Well i wanna know for sure

OpenStudy (taylor0402):

yep you guys are correct

OpenStudy (lilkg77):

Can you explain? @Taylor0402

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Might be a bit late but To find a slope: y2-y1 -------- x2-x1 So, -3 -(-6) 3 ---------- = --- 2-(-8) 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@lilkg77 therefore, it's D
