Question

I have a matlab question about for loops:

Suppose there are 5 main gates for entrance in EFFAT University. Gates 01 and 02 can solely be used for female entry however Gate 03 can be used for both males and females entry. Gates 04 and 05 are just for male faculty. Make a for loop to take 5 String i.e M for male and F for female and B for both. And finally display the result that who can enter through which gate.

this is what I did :

clc;
close all;
clear all;
gender=input('the Gender of those entering: M,F or B?');
if (gender==M)
disp('gates 4 and 5')
end
if (gender==F)
disp('gates 4 and 5')
end
if (gender==B)
disp('gates 4 and 5')
end

obviously this isn't a for loop and it doesn't work. I just don't understand how to do it
