The overall population of a species has increased. What could have occurred to allow this to happen? A The emigration rate is greater than the death rate. B The death rate of the population is greater than the immigration. C The birth rate of the population is less than the death rate. D The immigration of the population is greater than the emigration.

OpenStudy (kat_s123):

Emigration means to leave one's natural environment. So if you think about it a doesn't really make sense, B doesn't make sense because how would the population rate be increasing is the death rate is greater than the immigration rate. If the birth rate of the pop is less than the death rate than the population would be decreasing as well, so the only one that makes sense is D so, more species are coming in than leaving.
