please help I give medals and become a fan!! The rock cycle suggests that A) rocks are always added to Earths mass B) rocks are continuously being recycled into different forms C) rocks disappear from earth as they go underground D) rocks always stay in the same form

OpenStudy (kat_s123):

B. if rocks were added to the Earth's mass, the earth would be sooooo much bigger than it was millions of years ago, and it's not. Rocks don't disappear from earth as they go underground, they are simply melted and then they can become a different kind of rock. Which also adds to how D is wrong because rocks don't stay in the same form. Take a rock at the bottom of a river for example, after a while a bunch of sediment and other gunk will attach itself to the rock and it will become a different kind of rock, also when rocks go into the earth they get melted and then they can become different kinds of rocks, depending on how they are returned to the surface.
