what is the solution to the system of equations? 2x - y = -3 x - 2y = -4 ( , )
you can solve by substituting or elimination
which one do you prefer?
i think elimination is easier preferably but its her choice
I don't care
choose and we'll use that method
whatever you think would be easier im learning substtution
so then we'll use substitution
kk
solve the second equation for x
x= 2y - 4
good :) now put the value of x from the second equation into the first one
let the mathlete do her job
2(2y - 4) - y = - 3
@Vickyisthesmartone123 getting just the answer and learning how to solve it is a completely different thing
@ashley011802 good :) now solve for y
im confuse because the answer has to be x and y corridents like for a graph and I got a decimal
keep it in fraction
mehek i sent you a message
you cant have a fraction for this test
then i guess keep it in decimal form
then what r the x and y graph corrdinents
once you solve for y, you plug the value of y into whichever equation you want to and you find x that will be your answer
it won let me enter a decimal as an answer
then what are you supposed to put if you can' put fractions or decimals? because the answer is not a whole number
obviously it is
okay im just gonna guess and move on ill post the correct answer when im done
the correct answer was (-2,1)
