OpenStudy (quickstudent):

Is this correct?

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

Well c is not correct because if b=1, then a could equal 2, which would make it a fraction of 2/5. Same applies to choice b because b could equal 1 and a could equal 60, which would equal 12. Choice a is out of the question and choice d I'm not sure but it's the only one that makes sense. Hope this helps you

OpenStudy (superdavesuper):

C IS correct...so is D....

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

But wait, if b=1 and a=2, that would make 5^(2/1), which equals 25.

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

Oh I see. I thought the problem was a/5b

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

I apologize

OpenStudy (andrewishere):

Then yes. C and D

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

Thanks, and thats ok:)
