What is the total number of marbles represented on the stacked bar graph? @vzfreakz

Directrix (directrix):

Post what you get here so that we can move to step 2, okay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

70+60+70+60+40=300

OpenStudy (anonymous):

300 marbles in total.

Directrix (directrix):

That is what I got. Now, count how many marbles of the 300 marbles have diameter 20 mm. I counted the green regions, say in the first bar from 50 to 70 and got 20 of the 20mm diameter marbles. Count the 20 mm diameter marbles shown in the other 4 bars and total them with the 20 from the first bar. Post what you get, okay? I'll tell you if that is what I got and then we will move to the next step.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Red: 20 Yellow: 20 White: 30 Black: 10

Directrix (directrix):

That is 80 and the 20 I got makes 100 of the 20 mm diameters.

Directrix (directrix):

Prob ( 20 mm diameter or black marble) = P(20 mm diameter) + P(Black) = 100/300 + 30/300 = 130/300. You can simplify that and see which option goes with it. Note that that there are 40 black marbles but 10 of them were already counted with the 20 mm diameter marbles. That 10 is subtracted from 40 so that they are not counted twice. @vzfreakz

So the answer is 13/30

Appreciate the help.

Directrix (directrix):

Correct. You are welcome.
