Need pre calculus help! Write a polynomial that has the given numbers as roots. 1) -3, 2 + sqrt 3 2) 5, 3+2i, 1-3i

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

1)(x+3)*(x-2)*(x-sqrt3)=expand 2) (x-5)*(x-(3+2i))*(x-(1-3i))=expnd

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so would I just multiply it until I get the polynomial equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm being picky, but "the polynomial" really should be "a polynomial". \(x-1\) and \(2(x-1)\) are polynomials with the same roots, for instance.
