OpenStudy (anonymous):

will fan and medal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need a tutor if anyone has kik to tutor me on

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Find the slope from the graph (rise/run) this will equal the coefficient of x in the equation then the number after the 3x is the intersect on the y-axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok is that all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D

OpenStudy (radar):

Can you observe a line and tell if the slope is negative or positive ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

negative

OpenStudy (radar):

Here is a hint if the line rises to the right it is positive. if it falls or goes downward to the right it is negative. Here as in the previous problem you can get rid of half of the answers just by looking at the line.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its positive so its y = −3x + 1 (A)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = −3x + 1 i meant

OpenStudy (radar):

If it is positive that means the coefficient of the x term has to be positive when the line equation is in the form y = 3x - 1.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

No the line is like / so its positive its 3x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its A right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@radar

OpenStudy (radar):

To determine which one, now observe the graph, find y when x is zero.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or y=-4

OpenStudy (radar):

Or you looking at the line you furnished with the link ??

OpenStudy (radar):

What is the value of y when x = 0 for this line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what???

OpenStudy (radar):

Look at your problem, the graph provided by your link ( 1.jpg) What is the value of y when x=0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its B i think

OpenStudy (radar):

No it is going to be a number value, very simple to obtain, look at the line and see what its y value is when x = 0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right

OpenStudy (radar):

On the graph I see it is -1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya i see it now

OpenStudy (radar):

With that info you can select the correct answer. Good luck with your studies. You really don't need a tutor, you just need to apply yourself.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its D
