What is "maximal sustainable yield"? Name an industry that uses this to maximize the number of organisms produced. Give an example.

I need help with the second question and giving an example

OpenStudy (trantom):

The maximum sustainable yield is the number of a certain organism that an environment can sustain, which is pretty simple. An industry that uses this for example is the dairy industry. Dairy farmers have to figure out how many cows they can have in their farm at once so they can produce as much milk as possible but not run out of resources for the cows or have the cows be overcrowded.
