How would I get this?? Use the rules of logarithms to condense each of the following q: log5 (a+2) +log5 (a-2) my guess: log5 .... something

OpenStudy (dayakar):

logm+log n = log mn

OpenStudy (dayakar):

can u do using above law

OpenStudy (ttop0816):

log5 (2a-2a)???

OpenStudy (dayakar):

no

OpenStudy (ttop0816):

I don't get how to put (a+2) & (a-2) together... :(

OpenStudy (dayakar):

log (a+2)(a-2) i am not typing base

OpenStudy (ttop0816):

oh its just like that?

OpenStudy (dayakar):

= log (a^2-b^2)

OpenStudy (ttop0816):

ohhh then it would be log5 (a^2-b^2) ??

OpenStudy (dayakar):

is it clear

OpenStudy (dayakar):

OpenStudy (ttop0816):

I totally get it now :) Thanks
