I WILL FAN AND MEDAL!!!! How does a ribosome know how to make protein? The nucleus contains the instructions and passes those instruction on to the ribosomes. The RNA brings a message from outside of the cell to produce protein-based DNA. The necessary enzymes travel along the plasma membrane and are decoded in the ribosomes. The instructions come through a transmembrane protein and travel to the ribosome.

Which statement most completely describes the primary role of the cell in a multicellular organism? The combination of chemical functions and genetic material enable the cell and the organism to live, grow, and reproduce. The collection of organelles interact with the environment to protect against environmental contaminants. The internal structures provide shape and support to a variety of living organisms—both unicellular and multicellular. They help scientists classify all living organisms by the types of cells they are made of.
