The number after the 10 says how many decimal places you need to go to either the left or right. If the number after the 10 is negative (...x 10^-9), then you go that number of spaces to the left with the decimal point. Its the same for positive, only you go right instead. So for 1.75 x 10^-9, you need to go 9 spaces to the left with the decimal point. .00000000175 is your decimal answer
