Find the equation of the line that passes through (5, 4) and (5, 6)
@mathmale
First, I'd find the slope. Do you know how to find that?
yes. i did and its 2/0
That's a good start. You'll no doubt remember that division by zero is not defined. Here we have 2/0, which is not defined. Think carefully: 2/0 signifies rise / run. What would you say is the slope of the straight line in question? Could you possibly draw this line?
Graph the 2 given points; then draw a line through them. How would you describe the orientation of this straight line? Horiz? Vert? Slant?
allyson: I'm happy to help you, but concerned over the length of time that passes between your responses. I'm giving you my time and expertise and would hope you'd stick with this problem solving until you've solved the problems.
i am sorry i had to step away from my computer. /the line is vertical
