The dot product of two vectors (for example, A and B with their respective x and y coordinates) is: \[(x _{1}x _{2})+(y _{1}y _{2})\] For the first part of A, you must multiply the vector ''v'' by itself. Vector V: (4,4) Since both x and y coordinate are 4, you plug in 4 for all the variables: (4)(4) + (4)(4)= 16 + 16 = 32 V times V= 32 Note that this is only the first part of A.
