pooja195 (pooja195):

c=children a=adult we know the total is $150 right? What is the equation?

pooja195 (pooja195):

Are you there??

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

3x + 5y = $150 x + y = 40 solve using system of equations

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

x = children's ticket y = adult's ticket

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

actually let me put it to 3c + 5a = $150 c + a = 40

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

now the main problem is that the question asks for how many tickets were sold even though the problem already says that there 40 tickets that were sold in total, or am i reading it wrong?
