OpenStudy (pyxieyt):

Suggestion: It would be cool if we have a study/group for new members. A place where they can learn the rules and the ways of OpenStudy!

pooja195 (pooja195):

This is a good suggestion however this will lead to alot of spam and medal parties :/ the besy way to welcome a new user is to pm them something like this :P "Hey there!!! welcome to openstudy! Since you are new here, read this legendary tutorial for new OpenStudiers!! http://goo.gl/5pp1u0 consider reading the CoC and the T&C http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct http://openstudy.com/terms-and-conditions "

OpenStudy (pyxieyt):

True! People and their spam now and days *sighs and shakes head slowly*

pooja195 (pooja195):

Sorry :( but this would have been a great idea if people didnt do such things

OpenStudy (04482):

All for it. What subjects and at what time?

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

I find that many new users find their way to the chats to be honest.

pooja195 (pooja195):

And from there they learn how to use the site.

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Exactly :)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

The link Pooja gave is the best :) I need to make a new one that's more updated, and answers more questions soon. :)

OpenStudy (pyxieyt):

Maybe it can be a section were only ambassador/mods/qualified helpers can post tutorials and such :D

\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @pyxieyt Maybe it can be a section were only ambassador/mods/qualified helpers can post tutorials and such \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) I would love this tbh. It's annoying to have to rummage through links to find a tutorial, cluttering my notebook. A section purely for tutorials and guides would be so useful.

OpenStudy (king.void.):

excellent idea ;) And I can be the teacher or MENTOR ;)

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

-_-

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

"I agree to OpenStudy Terms, Privacy Policy and the Code of Conduct." If everyone read the code of conduct and terms and conditions then we won't even need a study group for users to learn the rules they should have learnt before they even went into such a study group.

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

this group will not give anything. if people do not rad COC and TAC, they will not go into this group to learn rules as well.

OpenStudy (pyxieyt):

What if it is a starting group that you would be put when you first make an account? Still I think at least "SOME" people would read it xD

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

people will read COC and TAC rather than going into this group

OpenStudy (pyxieyt):

In one of the comments I made above I said it might me a great place to put tutorials because right now it is hard for new members to find them :)
