Can someone make this your own words to better understand? Overpopulation can further be viewed, in a long term perspective, as existing when a population cannot be maintained given the rapid depletion of non-renewable resources or given the degradation of the capacity of the environment to give support to the population.

Overpopulation, after a long time, causes a population to not be able to support itself anymore because they use non renewable resources like coal and oil too quickly to replace. Or they mess up the environment and it can't take care of the people anymore because they ruined it.
