Two problems: http://prntscr.com/95ppef Hey, you help and I will medal. Please?

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

@phi ?

OpenStudy (phi):

can you draw a triangle in quadrant III ?

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

ok

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

|dw:1448234230334:dw|

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

the sqrt5 is negative sorry

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

I'm using the formula here: http://prntscr.com/95t5an

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

but I got stuck ^^;

OpenStudy (phi):

sin = opp/hyp so the hyp is 3 and one leg is 1 (ignoring the signs for the time being) a^2 + b^2 = c^2 1^2 + b^2 = 9 b^2= 9-1= 8 b= sqrt(8) = 2 sqrt(2)

OpenStudy (kittiwitti1):

leg is one?? o_o

OpenStudy (phi):

normally when we draw the triangle, we *always* use the x-axis as part of the leg so it would look like this |dw:1448234737143:dw|
