Sam sold his bike to Suzie for 35% more than he paid for it. Suzie then sold the bike to Stanley for 20% more than she paid for it. What percent of the original price did Stanley pay for the bike?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sam got 135% compared to original price from suzie suzie got 20% more from 135% 0.2 by 135 is 27% so stanley would have paid 27% plus 135% so 162% hmm im not sure though but this is my process of thinking

OpenStudy (mrnood):

1.35*1.2 =?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.62

OpenStudy (mrnood):
