@nnesha

Nnesha (nnesha):

opps o^_^o

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

Can you help me on linear equations i am not getting them

Nnesha (nnesha):

alright so you know all basic stuff like how to graph them slope intercept form point slope form standard ?

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

Yea that i understand just the 2 variables part

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

When it has 2 equations and you have to solve them

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

I am dont typing idk why it says i am

Nnesha (nnesha):

alright lets start a linear equation would be a start line there are 3 forms \(\large\rm {Standard~form:}\) \[\rm Ax+By=0\] where a should be positive integer so if you get -a you have to multiply or divide both sides by negative one

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

Yea that i know i jsut need the 2x+3x=4 3x+5x=4 That kind of equation

Nnesha (nnesha):

oh okay

Nnesha (nnesha):

well that is pretty easy as you can see there is only one variable `2x+3x=4` so for this one just solve for x remember x=vertical line y= horizontal line for this question you're going to solve for x that would be the vertical line

Nnesha (nnesha):

are you familiar with `combine like terms ` ?

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

wait so we are just solving for x for each line?

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

No no that that sorry i mean 3x+5y=6 4x+5y=4 Something like that LOL

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes right bec there is one variable that's the simplest equation

Nnesha (nnesha):

ohh okay

Nnesha (nnesha):

is that one question or two ?? are you learning about perpendicular parallel lines or system of linear equations ?

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

I know that it looks like this https://gyazo.com/bde3ee5c3354f6f2e8db6662c392c9cc

Nnesha (nnesha):

i don't get iit so you want to know how to solve these \[\rm 3x-y=7\] \[\rm 2x+3y=1\] or the one u posted above

Nnesha (nnesha):

what's the direction ?

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

I think i can solve that just plug x in for Y above correct?

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

Wait nvm i gotta for like 15 mins so ill ask later but thaks for help

Nnesha (nnesha):

there are 3 ways to solve these equations system of linear equations 1st) graphing - for this method you can put both equation into the calculator and if you want to do it by hand you need to solve both equation for y 2nd) Substitution: for this one you have to solve one of the equation either for x or y in order to substitute that into the other equation 3rd)elimination - for this method you need to get same coefficient either for x or y but with opposite sign lst one 4th) matrices-this one is easy if you use calculator (this is the easiest one when you are taking test take less time ;)

Nnesha (nnesha):

\[\rm 3x-y=7\] \[\rm 2x+3y=1\] if you want to do substitution then you should solve first equation for y bec as you can see there is no variable at front of y so you can easily isolate that and then yes substitute y for first equation

Nnesha (nnesha):

alright we will continue whenever u get time =))

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

Sorry, seems like we are stay, ok so where were we?

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

Graphing i know you put x and y times by Zero and do it for both and you will get 4 points etc but substitution i think i get and elimination i dont

Nnesha (nnesha):

cool lets do the elimination method for same question you will get the same answer |dw:1448250480082:dw| our goal is to eliminate one of the variable either x one or y(depends on the equation)
