Help! I need to do a presentation about a famous mathematician. I need to present my information in some way- or multiple. So far, I've thought of display board/poster, video, and theatrical retelling. Any ideas? Note: This is being graded by the math teacher and the drama teacher, and my drama teacher likes "things"- models, presentations, the likes. WILL MEDAL AND FAN!
You could do the video and display board idea! You can be describing the board while the video is playing in the background with some elevator music (everyone likes elevator music :D)
Who are you planning on talking about? Or do you need help picking?
Yeah.. I was thinking about making a really showy display board with a video accompanying it, and then wearing a costume. I'm doing Hypatia, BTW. The project isn't being shown in class, it's going to be set up at the showcase (We have tables and things showing off all of our projects from all of our classes, and there's a time where everyone who has a theater type thing presents).
Wow a costume would be amazing :D
http://takebackhalloween.org/hypatia/ and my big sister is really good at hair- she does it every time I have to play a historic woman... this is actually the third time... hmmm..... :)

That is AMAZING you will do great :D
The pic is what she looks like. Any other ideas in case I'm not able to do this one?
Do you think you might be able to do a little act!
what about a lil magic trick? :D
Maybe... I'm already part of 3 or 4 drama things though so I'm beginning to get a little tired of acting! :) :P lol
Oh I would get tired, too.
What about being Athena? :)
Any other ideas? Not quite sure how I would do a model... maybe of her village?
@RainbowBrony555 I can't be athena... we have a list of approved mathematicians and I've already told the teacher which one I chose. Have to do something with Hypatia. :)
oh okay :o
I think you will do great!!! Do you need any more help?
Just a few more ideas. Suggestions?
You could make it like an interesting story but about her life and stuff! Maybe you can add some jokes and stuff to make them laugh!
oooh that's good.
Here is a link to 5 female mathematicians you should know (the first is Hypatia). http://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/five-historic-female-mathematicians-you-should-know-100731927/?no-ist
That's what I did when I had to do presentations! Worked almost everytime :D
@wolf1728 Right. I got some of my research from smithsonianmag. Any presentation ideas?
no - sorry :-(
I really don't have any more ideas :D
Thanks everyone for the help. :)
No problem :D
