The diameter of a circle is 102 feet. Using the formula C ≈ 3d, what is the approximate circumference of the circle? For this one do I 102x3 to get the answer

it seems as if you would just multiply 102 by 3. Since the formula is telling you that the circumference is approximately 3d

no problem! But note the \(\approx\) sign. It isn't equal to 3d exactly, but it's approximate. So never set anything as being \(=\)
