You need to find the number of people $x$. Then, since everyone needs to get the same items in the same amount each gets $240/x$ pins $360/x$ ornaments and $540/x$ mugs. Since I can not break neither of the items into smaller parts than 1, x must divide 240, 360 and 540. The only common denominator of this three quantities in the answer is 60.
