Can someone solve me step by step. -16t^2+34.77t+6. In quadratic form to find a landing point.
since this equation has decimal values in it , then you cannot solve by factorising. Do you know th eformula for solving quadratics??
Well no but I'm trying to find a object landing point.
so it tells you to use the quadratic formula therefore you must be studying the quadratic formula So refer to your text or classnotes fo find teh formula or you can find it here: http://mathworld.wolfram.com/QuadraticFormula.html tehn find a,b & c for YOUR equation and use the formula to get the value which is the root of that equation
just in case you are not sure: the landing point is found when height =0. the expression you have given is the equation for height so you need to solve the equation -16t^2+34.77t+6=0 this is a standard quadratic equation , and is solved using the formula that oyu must be familiar with
Ohh well I try doing it but I'm stuck.
