During recess, Maria, who has mass 27.0 kg, hangs motionless on the monkey bars, with both hands gripping a horizontal bar. Assume her arms are vertical and evenly support her body. What is the tension in each of her arms?

@Michele_Laino please help :) i suppose the acceleration should be g=9.81m/s^2 so then F = m x a i.e T =m x a n then in each arm the tension would be T/2
is it correct? i would go for this
yes! correct! The tension \(T\) supported by each arm is: \(T=mg/2=...?\)
we can justify such conclusion by arguments of symmetry, of course
