OpenStudy (alekos):

first multiply the entire top equation by 2 what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

14x + 4y = -2

OpenStudy (alekos):

now add the top and bottom equations as you would a simple addition problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

17x = 17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x= 1 yes?

OpenStudy (alekos):
