Evaluate 3(a + b + c)2 for a = 2, b = 3, and c = 4.

OpenStudy (mrnood):

so if a=2 b=3 c=4 what is a+b+c ??

OpenStudy (mrnood):

remember PEMDAS the first step ( I gave above ) is P for Parenteses - so work out what's in the brackets the second step is E for exponents so do the ^2 (i.e. square the value in the brackets) then do M for MUltiplication so multiply the result of the square by 3

MsBrains (ms-brains):

3(2+3+4) Is what you need to solve.
