pretty sure its fifteen over thrity two

OpenStudy (photon336):

You mean like this? there are two ways to write this. the first one \[\frac{ \frac{ -5 }{ 8 } }{ \frac{ -3 }{ 4 } }\] the second one there is a procedure for this. it's called keep, change, flip. the first number 5/8 we keep it, we change division to multiplication and we flip -3/4 to 4/3 \[\frac{ -5 }{ 8 } \div \frac{ -3 }{ 4}\] \[\frac{ -5 }{ 8 } x \frac{ -4 }{ 3 }\] then we just multiply as we would any fractions; across the numerator and the denominator. \[\frac{ -5 }{ 8 } x \frac{ -4 }{ 3 } = \frac{ -5*-4 }{ 8*3 } = \frac{ 20 }{ 24 }\] this gives us 20/24 if we don't simply it.

so its 20/24 rte
